Hi, I've been reading a couple threads here where people said their bully boys had to wear one of those cones
for two weeks after neutering. My question is, are there actually bullies out there who can lick their boy/girl parts
where the cone would be necessary? I know there is NO WAY Meaty can reach his, and after his neutering,
there was no cone ordered----(his vet is VERY bully knowledgeable, but I still like to ask what others have
experienced.....)
When we get Sophie spayed in the future, I wouldn't normally think she'd need a cone, either, but maybe I am missing
something? THANK YOU in advance :-)

No cone for us...
After Boss was neutered we didnt have a cone... Boss can't reach his boy parts and he didnt even try to mess with the spot...

Not here either...
none of my guys ever had a cone for neutering.
We haven't used the cone
for any surgeries on our dogs.
Years ago, a vet put one on one of our Bulldogs after eye surgery, it was beyond stressful for him and our other dogs so we took it off and havent used one since.

I agree...
Sebastian is getting neutered soon along with his nares opened up. And I'm not sure about the cone for the boy part of it. My concern is keeping the dogs away from the parts that Sebastian can't reach. They already like to have their noses in each others "business" if you know what I mean LOL!!!!

Oh, that's so true! With OTHER pets in the house, that
could be a big problem with them wanting to lick any surgical area......Luckily Sophie never bothered my sweet Meaty's
"empty coin purse" (as someone here called it...LOL!). And like I said, Meaty can't get anywhere near his boy parts...

Empty Coin Purse!!! That's great!
I was thinking the same thing. re: them reaching their private areas! I know Rocco can't - but Nurse Zoey might! (his jack russell friend)
Beatrix didn't need one. She
Beatrix didn't need one. She didn't even try to go for the incision. In fact, by 24 hours after she had the operation, you'd have thought from her attitude that all was normal -- we had to keep her from running up and down stairs and jumping on the sofa!
None for us
Jax just had his done on 6/22 and she also checked for an umbilical hernia and no cone. We just had to keep him less active (the was a trick and a half) for 10 days
