Dear Forum,
My dear beloved bulldog just turned 8 years old this month. I was playing with him and noticed that his left eye is cloudy and his right eye is partially cloudy. There is no redness nor inflammation around his eyes and his overall activity and health is great. No skin issues, no folds issues...just his eyes.
I understand as dogs age there is a possibility of cataracts, which is a normal sign of aging in humans and dogs.
Before, I freak out and go to the vet or veterinary opthamologist, I was wondering if there are any home remedies I can try first.
Thanks for any advice, B

its normale
as our dogs age they get tis cloudiness....i use vit e ...i pop the capsule and put one drop into each eye...it does not have be exact....i did this when charlie got a horrible ulcer....but be sure its not a ulcer..... and vit e is great for dry eye..as its a heavy lubricate....
Thank you so much for
Thank you so much for reassurance. Just went outside to look at his eyes under the daylight. The eyes are really not so bad, however the left is definitely worse. I just lost my cat of 16 years a few months ago (still think about her everyday), so I am a little hypersensitive about my dogs.
Best, Mark
its always best
to know...if your still worried then go to the vet....i know how it is...some times you just want a person to hold your hand and say hey its ok.....and as a bulldog owner every lump... bump....burp...and fart is looked at !!!!!!
Amen to that Judy !
and it seems like the lumps bumps etc always happen, like 5pm on a friday, and the vet is 45 mins away and closes at 6 !
