Cleaning face wrinkles

After a year of struggling with keeping our almost 3 year-old Gemma's face wrinkles from getting red and irritated, I finally think I've found a huge help. Was using tube after tube of Mupiriin ointment from the vet which was soothing but not healing for her. Despite constant cleaning and drying they still always looked inflamed. Drugstore purchased Desitin seems to be really helping her deep face folds under her eyes. Wanted to share this with you all in case others experience this problem. Also, the fragrance free, sensitive baby wipes were not good for her either, we've since switched to just warm water for cleaning her face.img00334-20111102-1842.jpg

Thanks for the advice! I will

Thanks for the advice! I will have to try that.  My bully's wrinkles sometimes get inflammed too, and they look similar to tear stains although it's hard to tell since her face has black on it.  I've put Monistat in her wrinkles once, that didn't work, Neosporin sort of worked.  It's just so hard to keep them dry; her eyes are constantly leaking this winter.  I will try the Desitin.

Desitin does work!

I followed your advice and bought some Desitin.  I didn't know which one to get- the regular version with the 13% zinc oxide or the maximum strength version with 41% zinc oxide.  I went with the maximum strength.  I hope that was the right one!  Her tear stains had been raw and red, and I put it on them before bed.  It cleared up her tear stains overnight!  Only thing I don't like is the distinctly fishy smell.  Her face already smells like Doritos and old potatoes, even though I clean and dry them daily.  Now they also smell like sea bass.  Oh well, guess that's a loss I will take because now they're clear and she's not rubbing and itching at her face anymore.  Thanks!
