My 8 1/2 year old neutered female Martha has a cherry eye that she has lived with for about 6 months.
Now it looks like it's beginning to bother her. Her vet suggested surgery when it was first diagnosed but because of her age, breed and other health issues, we haven't done anything.
Has anyone dealth with that (hopefully successfully) in an older bulldog?
I'm just so worried that she won't make it through the surgery.
Thanks!
I have heard that some vets can do a cherry eye removal with...
local anesthetic, they just snip it out. I think Dr Kinnear in Staten Island does it that way and I'm sure there must be others.
BamBam had both eyes done
with just local anesthia. His were snipped out, not tucked.

cherry eye is a fast
quick surgery...by the time their out their coming back out...its a very quick snip....so it should be easy and fast...and so much more comfortable for her....yes i would do it
Recovery?
How long is the recovery?
