cherry eye

I have a 10 week old puppy that has Cherry eye.  I took him to the vet and they popped it back in but it came back the next day.  My husband massaged it back in but will he need to have surgery?  I worry about putting a bulldog under due to their breathing.

depends

wilson i was always lucky enough to push it back in.....charlie and henry i had to have them removed....keep pushing it back....time will tell if you need surgery....and its a real short under and up surgery.....

Rocco was 16 weeks old I had him for 2 weeks and he

got a cherry eye. I looked it up on internet and then I found out how to push it back in on all things but YouTube! I tried but couldn't get it in, he had the surgery, it was cake. No problems.

thanks for the replies

We seem to manage massaging it back in but it usually reappears in 1-2 days.  the vet said they usually wait until 6months of age to get it done.  I am still on the fence if this is what we want to do.

we just went through this

our vet said to wait until Nola was a year old to have the surgery, just to make sure the other one doesn't pop out. Everyone else is right, it is a simple surgery; but it's also super easy to live with too, just get the right medicated drops from you vet to keep it from swelling too much and getting infected.
