Chef D woke up with hives this morning.

He doesn't seem to be bothered by them.  He has not tried to itch them or anything. Eating and drinking fine.  Happily played with 4 month old bulldog today.    We gave him a Benadryl and they started to go away, but you can still see some of them around.

I have know idea what they are from?    The only thing different was he had was some cheap bone thing my husband bought him.  It's been so hot we barely even take him out.  His bathroom breaks have been quick ones at the planters just outside of the aparment.  No grass or anthing.  I don't think it's sting. Anything else I should be looking at as a cause?

He is just shy of 8 months, so I'm not sure if this is something to be freaked out about.   He doesn't seem to be bothered by them I was going to hold of in calling the vet until tomorrow.  Am I a bad mamma to think that way?

They shouldn't be a problem unless...

he starts to have trouble breathing, but if they have calmed down, he should be fine.  You can give benedryl every 8 hours and that should help.  There are so many things that can cause hives, bug spray, detergent (Tide is especially bad), maybe something they used on the grounds or plants in your apt complex.
