I clean incision daily with H2O2 and then sprinkle with nystatin powder to keep it dry. I don't pull stictches for 3 wks unless looking irritated. There should be no drainage or smell but some times a little redness. If you are concerned you should have your vet check it.

I wouldn't want to put anything on an incisional area. if you need to clean it up, just wash with antibiotic wash and dry well...sometimes less is better:)

i dont put anything on them
we use staples....I just let them alone. i watch for redness and swelling.
when you put anything on sutures it wicks and pulls the moisture in to the suture line and that keeps things moist and prevents healing.
i leave them in for 3 weeks.
