I am the owner of a precious female 9 plus year old english bulldog. I know that she is a senior and have her on food for joint care as well as Lubrisyn that is suppose to help with joints.
She is really starting to have a hard time with her back legs, often just wanting to drag her backside when she is very tired.
Have you experience this and if so, what have you found to help.
I have made the mistake of feeding her from the table a bit much and now she prefers to be hand fed...what an ordeal.
Feedback truly appreciated.

Sadie will be 12 in 3 wks. She started to slow down at about 9
yrs. Getting up and down, walking was difficult for her. The vet put her on Deramaxx and she has done really well with it. She has labs done every 6 mo. to check her liver functions so far so good. You may want to talk to your vet about NSAIDS, there are many out there that are less expensive then the Deramaxx.
Tramadol...
is helping our 13-1/2 yr. old with her arthritis. She's still hobbling around, but it actually worked better for her than the Deramaxx, and it's relatively inexpensive. There is very little of the joint supplement in dog food--and I was told this by a representative of dog food company. I give glycoflex III.. Good luck!
I agree, Tramadol works wonderfully
for aches and pains. I've taken it and my dogs have also taken it, highly recommend it.
