Hi,
So for Bubba's last shots I had him tested for demodex because I found some tiny bald spots and it came back positive....My concern is that they prescribed him Pryoben(sp?). I've been doing research and this shampoo has not come up as treatment. I have not started the treatment yet but my breeder told me he should have been prescribed mitaben?
Any feedback and suggestions is much appreciated.

Hummm I would go with what your breeder said and
call the vet and tell them you talked to the breeder and what she said is used and perhaps the two words sound similar and that you should have had what you breeder said to use.
Vets sometimes make mistakes. I had it happen to a friend with medication.

Demodex
My Olivia had demodex when she was a puppy. She was given oral ivermectin. Worked very well. You MUST be consistant with the meds. It usually takes 2 to 3 months to go away.
Pyroben and Ivermectin is what I used
And I had very good results with the combination when I treated our retriever's demodex. Good Luck

I just came back from the vet
I just came back from the vet today with the same diagnose.
I was given antibiotics to clear his skin up and ivermectin to kill the mites.
