Breeders or those with knowledge, deworming pups?

Question for dog breeders, when do you start deworming and what do you use? I read some start at two weeks, and others at four weeks. That some do it every two weeks there after.. I only planned on deworming at 4 weeks and 6 weeks and calling it a day, as I've read that sometimes it's only needed a couple of times, and I figured I don't want to over do it. What is everyone's thoughts on deworming etc. There are so many opinions and options. I was told nemex by vet, but want suggestions and opinions. Thanks in advance, I appreciate all advice.

2 weeks?

That seems real young to me.  I've hear 4 wks with every 2 weeks after or 6 and 8 wks.  We wormed twice and without looking up records I believe it was 7 wks and 9 wks. We had some diarhhea issues at 6 weeks and didn't want to cause more problems.  No worms were seen and my puppy that I kept has had a fecal check at 4 months that was negative. In 15 years I have yet to have a positive test.

Most times it's not necessary

I take a stool sample to the vet's office.  If there are no worms then I don't do anything.  No need to.

I will wait

until 4 weeks old, and just do it then and at 6 weeks as a precaution. I don't believe they have anything, but you can never be too sure. I know my female doesn't have anything of the nature, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. I am a fan of not doing more than needed as well. I feel too much is often the cause for disaster and issues. I did think 2 weeks was too young as well, but I guess some people like to go the extra mile, like with everything in life lol.

I agree

I do not worm unless i have an issue.
