Bilious Vomiting Syndrome?

Matilda would occasionally vomit just watery clear foam in the early morning. It went away for quite a while - this was a few years ago.

However, lately it has started happening again. Once last week and twice this week. Research suggests bilious vomiting syndrome. It makes a good deal of sense because I now feed the dog(s) much earlier in the morning and much earlier in the evening. With two of them right now I have to get up an hour and a half early to feed and walk both of them, so I wonder if perhaps waiting a bit longer to feed the evening meal (and giving her a plain Pepcid with it) might work.

They are fed at 7am and 5pm. The evening meal has been getting earlier and earlier because bedtime (for me!!) is earlier and it takes longer to put them to bed. I do, however, feed them a little something (last night it was their yogurt with a small chunk of rabbit) before I go to between 9 and 10.

Anyone thing waiting maybe an hour or so later to feed them dinner and giving Matilda a Pepcid may help? Perhaps subtract the Vitamin C from her morning meal since she's in otherwise fine health and is probably getting enough from her premade raw meals?

I'm kind of exhausted what with the very poor condition of the rescue dog (mange is a tough one - trying to keep the poor guy and his crates and linens clean and comfortable - and his total lack of 'upbringing' - and the emaciation). This one is tough for me. Syringes of Ivomec, you can't let him eat from the bowl or he swallows the food whole and chokes, he has a very bad tail...this poor guy has been through it all. His appointment is Thursday and I'm using a new vet (just for him) to try them out. I also needed to find someone closer to home for him because the dogs have back to back appointments that would mean two hours in the car for both of them over the course of two days - separately - because he needs to go in the crate and Matilda sits in the back seat like a person.

In any case, just want to stay on top of the health of my fur-daughter.  She is having a complete blood panel on Friday (in preparation for my annual paranoia fest about vaccinations as I'm convinced that one of them did *not* agree with her) but it is going to just be a technician drawing the blood and then the vet will call me to discuss it; however I will ask.

Sorry I went on and on. I'm kinda tired. This morning's clear-foam-puke was at 3:45.

I would try the pepcid and see...

how that works, usually makes a difference for our guys.  I would also skip the vit C, Chester took it for a year because of a leg injury and it suddenly stopped agreeing with him, he had some stomach issues.  We stopped the C and he is much better.  Hope you get to the bottom of it.

It sounds like acid reflux.

I feed at 12 hour intervals with a snack between and one right before bed.14 hours is a long time between meals even with a snack. I would not stop the vitamic c.

I am sorry your rescue boy is in such bad shape, but trust me when I say time is your friend with him. He will heal, give him lots of time to do it.

Kofi use to do that.

I started giving her a snack before she went to bed. Yogurt or a chicken liver or two.

Maybe that would work for Matilda.

Hugs to your guys.
