Are nails easier to trim if they have been soaked?

I'm still battling Hazel's overgrown nails! I was wondering if it might make the nail easier to cut/grind if they had been soaked.  thanks

When you dremel

A wet nail, it will cut down on the nail dust.
I'm not sure what you mean by easier?

I guess eaiser  to cut with the nail clippers, so the nail doesn't crack split.

Oh...

I guess it would make sense that the nails are softer after a bath and less likely to split. I'm a remedial clipper-er, so I can only dremel! LOL

I have noticed with my boxer that it is easier after a bath, they

are softer & don't split so easy.

I did that to - I think he moved his foot, just put flour on the

end - it stops the bleeding. That's the first time I did it & it worked. I did it to my Samoyed years ago but it was winter so outside he went!
