I think Rocco has an ear infection, but as I already spent $200 bucks on Vet bills this month I was wondering if any of you have input on how to treat it....

I bought Zymox OTIC HC 1.0% Solution off Amazon.com and it has worked well for her. Get the kind with the hydrocortisone. The other kind is just for cleaning, not infection.

Man alive! Thankfully my vets have quit trying to get lots of money out of me. They figure with as many horses and dogs as I have, they can get more out of me by being decently priced than if they charged me an arm and leg...I would go someplace else!!

My Lab just came down with yet another ear infection. I mean we battle these things year round. She loves water, plays in sprinklers, plays in her water bowl... you name it she does it. So ear infections several times a year, so much so that all I have to do is call my vet an ask for a refill of the $100 in meds and cleaner.
I read this post and looked up Zymox on Amazon and it's got 391 five star reviews, 25 four star, 3 three star, 2 two star and 10 one star reviews... Anyway... that's what 15 three and under stars as opposed to 416 four and above stars??? that like a 96% success rate. Heck, there are some forms of birth control with a lower success rate, lol. That is pretty good for a product though! I am suprised it's not more expensive! - I'm going to order me a small bottle but I suspect I'll be ordering a large one very soon.
Well, I just recently had an issue with Sophia....

Thank you Amy
I will try that out. My Vet always wants me to come in, but that alone costs me $90 for the office call.
I know. They think we pet owners are rich or something.
