I like to use a deshedding blade and/or a zoom groom. If I use the zoom groom, I scrub the boy vigorously then brush him out. I usually do this outside since there's enoug hair to make another dog! lol
'I also give fish oil caps for the skin and coat. I've had vets comment on how healthy and thick Q's coat is. :0)

has a lot to do with the coat and shedding. Time of year can as well. Lack of regular brushing as well. Also in my experience white dogs tend to shed more then dark colored dogs. Also the coat can make a difference too, long thick vs short. I never brush MacKenzie. He has a beautiful red short coat and his shedding is very limited. I rarely notice his hair on my clothes.

I prefer the Zoom Groom type rubber brushes...but there are others that swear by the furminator. I personally think the furminator is a type of striping brush and it seems to me that it actually would cut the coat. There is a possibility at 9 weeks that he is shedding puppy type of coat for adult coat. Either way supplement with salmon oil or a similar type of oil and feed a good food and you should see a difference.

virgin expeller pressed coconut oil. Matilda is pretty soft and shiny and she practically dances her way to her bowl when she sees me getting it out. She is shedding even less than she did with just fish oil AND...
You can use it topically - ie I have been adding it to everything, rubbing her paws with a light coat of it and I decided to add it to her shampoo and her doggy-smell is actually pleasant without being chemical.

My bully sheds like crazy! I would not recommend the furminator as I used it and siince these type of dogs have no undercoat is scraped my baby's skin which could lead to a skin infection! My dog has a beautifull thick shiny coat but she does shed an awful lot. I thought it was normal!
It may be the time of year...
