Anal Glands
Submitted by Spike2005 on December 3, 2011 - 4:50pmSpike is 6 years old. We took him to get his anal glands excreted with the vet. On 2nd day the odor was back. We were told to take him to groomer to get the glands emptied once a month but it seems like within two days, he has that fishy smell again!! Help
Have you cleaned his tail pocket?
That could be contributing to the odor.
Otherwise, I dont know, but there are lots here that can help you with this question!

Yes, and we gave him a bath shortly after his visit to the vet.
He has not been scooting and his stool is firm but he irregular.
