After the surgery...Entropian question
Submitted by AmyandSophia on April 29, 2011 - 6:15pmSophie looks pretty darned good in my opinion, but she has a cherry eye type swelling in her right eye, not in her left, and I want to know if that is normal? She isn't scratching at her face at all...she went crazy and peed/pooped all over herself and almost destroyed her kennel she was in when they put an ECollar on her, so instead they wrapped her dew claws with vet wrap to keep her from bothering the eyes. She is doing great, but I wondered about that cherry eye issue. Should I be concerned at this point or wait a few days for it to go down? It isn't huge, but is definitely there, whereas the left eye doesn't have that at all.

Oscar had surgery last year & it did take longer for his right eye swelling to go down. I'm glad to hear sophie is doing good!!

I am afraid the vet cut too much out of the right side, and her eyelid is lower than the right. The left side looks awesome though and is healing perfectly. I am going to call the vet today and see what he says. He better not have cut too much out on the right or I will be furious. Other than that, Sophia is doing really well:-)
