sorry, forgot to explain

We have had a few explanations on what this is and nothing confirmed....wondering if anyone recognizes what it is and can tell me for sure what it is? I would be so grateful! It gets yellowish and and puss on it and then it starts to flake. Antibiotics clear it up for a month or so and then it comes back. Thanks to all in advance....P.S. thinking yeast infection on skin???

Onslow has something similar

they simply say pyoderma.  "http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp?cfile=htm/bc/70900.htm

Just like yours it comes we do antibiotics and it clears up then awhile later it comes back.  They tell me it is caused by allergies but we haven't done the blood testing for it yet.

I have been bathing him and doing spot treatments with a shampoo I got from the vet called KC Skinguard.  It is antifungal and antibacterial and has ketaconazole in it.  It has really been helping him.  I also have him on antihistamines which is really seeming to help.  Plus we keep a hepa air filter going for him.

Onslows is always in that same area too under the belly.  If I had to guess i would say its a grass allergy.  Sorry I don't have the magical cure :(

Hope you baby feels better.

based on the location i think

based on the location i think yeast is a good guess.  it looks like its mostly under the back legs where things stay moist.  we hav used mal-a-ket wipes which are both antimicrobial and anti fungal which work pretty well.  hope it clears up soon

I would try coconut oil.

I would try coconut oil.  Gunther had alot of skin issues but once I got him on a raw diet and coconut oil it all cleared up.

Baron gets the same thing this time of year, it lasts all

summer then when the weather gets cooler it goes away, I'm thinking it's allergies, I use Benadryl on him and it seems to help somewhat, he still gets very itchy.
