and as much as you can do it, wipe their faces after they eat and drink or get dirty - I keep a handtowel hanging in an easy to grab place. Make sure you wash their toys, rubber things in the sink/dishwasher, and soft things in the washer. I would use something mild like Arm and Hammer detergent for that and the bedding. Keeping it clean will help. Some people use stridex pads to help I never had to. Good luck!

Tuffy is almost 11 months old and has been battling acne for the past several months. He is currently on his third dose of cephalexin. I've taken away all bully sticks and plastic and rubber toys and he eats out of stainless bowls. I keep his face clean and dry after he eats/drinks water and clean with hydroperoxide twice a day. Just curous...What food did your vet put your dog on and wants in the antivac solution?
My vet doesn't think Tuffy's issues are food related but I'm looking to put him on Ester C to build up his immune system.
Best of luck...I'm told the acne does eventually pass..
Stainless steel food bowls, not plastic

One more thing
you might want to pick up any toys that they mash their face into - Onslow does this with his teaser ball. Irritant!
I'm right there with you
