My 4 month old Molly has a stomack virus a few weeks ago...And after a bland diet of rice and boiled chicken, she was pretty much back to normal...We decided to change her food and now she is on Taste of the Wild pacific stream....she was on purina chicken and rice puppy..We added the new food very very slowly and now she has the runs again but thank god no throwing up...Her burps are just as bad as her farts..Bessie our 7 month old took to the new food very well..but then again shes older..Dont know what else to do...Im thinking she doesnt do well with fish...any ideas why this is happening?

Could be
that the food doesn't agree with her. In the meantime you can put a dollup of plain fat free yogurt (with live cultures) in her food. Should help the burping and farting. Give her a few weeks to make sure.
Yes, you need to stick with a food for 6 weeks...
before stopping. You can also try a tablespoon of canned pumpkin on every meal. Did you add the new kibble in very slowly? Maybe add a little rice for a while to help firm up. Chester was the same way, we tried to get him on adult food at 4 months and every time we got him on kibble, he got the runs and we would go back to bland food. He was almost a year old before we got him squared away, he's been on the TOTW fish ever since and doing well. Some dogs just take longer to adjust.
a year
i dont have that much patience...lol...yes i added kibble to her food slowly.....
I agree with Kathy. Give it at least 6 weeks.
Also, add that tablespoon of plain, fat free yogurt in each meal. It WILL help with the tummy issues if given daily. And keep giving it for good, don't stop when the tummy calms down. Don't give with the canned pumpkin though, not sure how that would go over.

TOTW
could possibly be too rich for the younger puppy and not all dogs tolerate fish. TOTW is pretty high in protein. Ester got a horrible staph infection on TOTW Pacific Stream and if I give her too much Salmon oil now she vomits. So I only give her 1/2 a pump of Grizzly Wild Salmon oil every couple of days.
A change of food can give them the runs especially if they are young, as their system isn't used to many different things.
I agree with the others about sticking with a food for at least 6 weeks....but if you have some serious side effects that start immediately and you haven't changed anytime but the food (ie Ester's staph) then you should stop what you are feeding. My vet told me it takes 6 weeks to get an old food out of the system.
A word of caution on dairy products and yogurt. Some dogs are lactose intolerant so yogurt wouldn't be a good option. My Cleo vomited anytime you fed her dairy and she loved ice cream...but even a spoonful would make her puke. I've been told that it would take cups of yogurt to get the same effect as using a probiotic. So I personally opt for a probiotic, 1/2 t in the food.
