4 wk old puppies

I have 7 puppies 4 wks old Tue.  They are eating puppyfood softened in goats milk from a dish and still nursing on momma twice a day.  Momma has never been a good milk provider so i have always topped the pups off with goats milk in bottle.  Momma is kicking the pups off because of teeth and i was wondering when i stop the nursing 100% do i still need to top the puppies off with bottle after they have eaten puppy food, I do pour goats milk in dish of mush and they lap it up.  Not sure how much milk they still need at 4 weeks.  Thank you.

Weaning 4-week old puppies....

I wouldn't top off with bottle of milk once the puppies start eating kibble.  I have not used the goats milk with the kibble (only with the baby cereal and chicken when introducing to solid food).  They still need to have their food softened though, but you can gradually stop the goat milk and use water.  Try giving eggs scrambled in butter to which a tsp. per pup of cottage cheese is added to one meal a day.  I think at 4 weeks they should be fed 4 or 5 times a day.  Good luck and have fun with them!

Thanks! Micki

I appreciate your help!!!
