3 weeks on Cephalexin for bacterial infection?

Just wondering if this dosage is excessive.  My boy went to dermatologist and was diagnosed with bacterial infection in between toes on back legs. Any thoughts?

Both of mine that have allergies have been on Cephalexin for that amount of time, even up to a month, per a dermatologist.

mine are this right now, with a deep infection of the skin.  Five of my babies have this and they say it's not contagious.  They are on Hypoallergenic food now and must stay on this for six months.  The outbreaks are better, but they still get them. Not supposed to be contagious.
