I have not been on in awhile, so thought I would check in. My husband lost his job last week unexpectedly. We had to move back to Arkansas. He has thankfully found a new job, but will not start for a few weeks. We are having to put Bentley down tomorrow. We have been battling his fear aggression for a little over a year. We have tried several medications, had several medical test done to make sure he is healthy and all is well, and have been working with a great behaviorist/trainer to help with his issues. He had made great progess we thought.
the fracking of natural gas on the NOW program on PBS. This was the first time I was ever aware what that was, and that it is done in over 30 states.
It's NOT done in the state I live in, but I was curious to know if you happen to live in a state where fracking of oil or natural gas is done. I quite honestly was surprised that the fracking for natural gas in done on people's prperty where they live.
Hi,
Lucy has very bad arthritis and I really want to get her off of Rimadyl. She is currently on Dasuquin. It's too early to see if that helps.
I want to try Arnica Montana. Does anybody know if this is safe in the long run?
Also - I heard Melatonin helps w/ shedding. Any idea how much and how often?
My Lucy LOVES chewing on bones. Since she was a pup we were instructed to use Nyla bones. Well, "somebody" gnawed their teeth down, so the vet says...no more Nyla bones. I know she misses them. Any ideas? I use a Kong, but she's such a greedy monster, once she gets all the peanut butter out (in a matter of seconds..it seems) she's bored again.
Anything you guys may suggest?
My husband is going on vacation with MacKenzie and wants to take him in the Razor with him. We need a restraint that will keep him in the seat. What brand of seatbelt/harness works best.
I just saw an infomercial on TV for Crazy Critters. They are just like the flat, stuffing-free toys you see in stores (and Gretl LOVES).
Friendly Fox is just $20.00! But wait, call now and he's just $10.00! ANNNNNNND his buddy Rugged Raccoon will come too!
I went to the website out of sheer curiosity, and cracked up at this part:
Here's a series of shots from last fall. The regal #10, who has claimed the title of top dog at Mammoth Hot Springs following the demise of the legendary #6.
He doesn't look quite so regal as he tries to position himself for a somewhat comfortable nap ... but he's sure an impressive lawn ornament!

On Thurs morning, I had a email about a bulldog found by a cop in the town over from me. I live almost to the Michigan line. They wanted to put him in rescue verses the shelter. I went to pick him up after work Thurs. He was a little dirty, but happy as a clam. We made a quick trip to the vet who had a scanner. The tech did a scan & low & behold he had a chip happy.
