Week-end brags Pix

Hidy-ho EveryBully!

The pups and I just returned late last night from the BCA Div.V specialty show and back-up shows (we showed on Saturday and Monday) where we had a very fruitful week-end of showing--mostly in rally & OB.

On Saturday at the Nisqually KC show (all-breed), Pip and Gabe both qualified very nicely, earning their 2nd rally novice legs--and placing 3rd (Pip with a 97/100) & 4th (Gabe with a 96) in a large class of about 20 dogs. Gabe had a tie score with another dog, but won based on faster time (the judge thought this was pretty funny and commented on it--and the times were incredibly close, too, only hundredths of a second different!) Chubbs also qualified in her class and earned her 2nd Rally Advanced leg (and WOULD have had 3rd place but her handler made a stupid error that cost her 10 pts ...another bulldog named Checks from Oregon placed 3rd that day, so we had some nice working bullies represented!)

Monday at the Div V show, Chubbs earned her final RA leg with a perfect score of 100 and 1st place, and JUST missed getting a wonderful score in the upper 190's in the open OB class (she didn't hear my first command to come and disqualified when I had to give a repeat command)

Pip earned her final RN leg and 1st place with a nice 99, and Gabe finished his and came in 2nd with a 94 (the poor boy got stung in the face by a bee the night before and wasn't quite up to par, but still put in a good show)

Pip also earned her first Novice OB leg, with a fair score of 189--enough to earn her 1st place in the class, as well as HIT (the other dogs failed to qualify). Plus she placed 2nd in the American Bred Bitch class (not bad for my still skinny little lady!)

"Checks" and his Mom, Kaler Howard are pictured here with my SittingBullies gang--and this team made some bulldog HISTORY yesterday, completing the very first Rally Advanced Excellent title for the breed! To do this a dog must already have the RN, RA and Rally Excellent titles and then earn qualifying scores in BOTH the advanced and excellent classes TEN TIMES. Yay Checks & Kaler!

We'll join our bully performance pals next month (there is a nice sized group planning to come) in Spokane at nationals, which should really be a blast!

Or not -

showing is booooring, when they have too much brains they hate to do nothing......

Does Angus has brains? And you? Are you stubborn enough? It takes a lot of tenacity to train a Bulldog. Most Bulldogs train their owner, didn't you know that?

Ineke

(ps you know I'm just kidding!)

my guess

would be if a dog has the spirit to show well for 100 BOB's he would do well in obediance also!

I agree Kristie, if they have that "show" attitude...

I think they have the "spark" to be a wonderful performance dog, too!

Cheryl, congrats on a great weekend!

I really enjoyed watching you with your three amazing kids. They're all such wonderful workers! Congratulations on the nice scores, legs, and new titles!

Looking forward to seeing all of us get back out there at Nationals. We should have a pretty good representation of performance bullies there!

Congratulations!!

Way to go I love to see bullies performing!!! I need to start training mine. I used to do competition obedience with my Dobes before life took over and I couldn't find the time. I have a Bullie that would be excellent for performance. I am very interested in rally.

Way to go!!!

Cheryl - that is such awesome news!! way to go this weekend! it's so nice to see bulldogs being the competition, especially in all breed shows! Dixie also beat a german sheperd by time in rally excellent - placing 2nd & earning her title - it was sure an incredble feeling, not sure how the german sheperd handler felt being beaten by time by a bulldog! LOL

I was sooo very happy for Kaler & Checks too! Dixie has leg 6 of the RAE and we show the next two weekends, so if the Rally Gods smile upon us our breed will soon have the first male & first female bulldog with this title!! Pretty exciting stuff!!

thanks for the pictures too! Kaler & I have talked so much on our performance list, it's so nice to finally put a face to a name/email - LOL
