It's probably already had it's shots, is past the worst of the puppy teething and has probably had someone work with it stacking and on leash. Not to mention pottie training. Older puppies should be worth MORE not less. If that is their attitude then they are probably just into it for the cute puppy and may not be good forever homes anyway. jmo

Well it is pretty crazy for anyone to think it would just be free.
Every bulldog we have had we got was an "older" puppy. When we first got Lily she was 10 months old. After she passed on and I started looking for a new Bully I found Gus' breeder. She had 2 other litters of puppies at the time. She also had Gus which she kept from a previous litter but had just recently decided to place. We got Gus when he was 7 months old. I decided on Gus mainly because I would get what I wanted but be a lot easier with training, house breaking etc.
She did sell him to me for $400 less then what one of the puppies would have been if I decided on one of those. That really wasn't a factor in the decision for me but if I am being honest, if they were all the same price I probably would have gotten a little puppy instead. IDK looking at it from the buyer's eyes instead of from the breeders, I would just have a hard time paying as much for an older one.

My older puppies for sale go thru the same training, vaccines, wormings, house breaking, socialization etc as the puppy I keep. We microchip and rabies, I've even take them to conformation classes with the keeper puppy for socialization and training. So older puppies should be worth more not less. Breeders have much more time, money and LOVE invested in that puppy. We had a lady tell us one time she wanted a 6week old puppy(ours were 8 and were just becoming available) and I told her we did not and never would sell a 6wk old puppy....she told me that she was not paying what we were asking for an OLDER puppy-WTH-8 weeks is older?????? whatever.....needless to say I did not care that she went on her merry way without one of my puppies. Sometimes we have the last puppy in the litter stay a little longer and people just naturally assume it is much cheaper because we still have it. I hate dealing with these type people and usually don't bother talking to them long. L
"there is no accounting for brains"...
People are just plain ignorant. Older puppies are worth MORE!
