Submitted by bullytac on April 21, 2010 - 12:25am"Bob" did us proud by having 2 qualifying scores in Advanced Rally on Thursday and Friday. The show was in a new venue at the Oaks Expo center in PA also where the Philadelphia Dog show was going on this same weekend and will be shown on TV Thanksgiving day (conformation only).
Needless to say we were the only bulldog in any of the obedience rings. Although there was a clumber spaniel that won his class in Advanced A Rally. It's always fun when it isn't an Aussi or poodle or boarder collie that wins!

that's so awesome!! A conformation show which offers performance events too is always such a challenging venue to compete in - lots & lots of distractions you don't find in a normal obedience trial!! Way to go! now onto that Rally Excellent title!!

In CKC Rally Bulldogs only get 1" less...
Instead of 12" bulldogs are permitted to do 11". My Diesel is over 8 years old and has one leg towards his advanced Rally. I would like to keep him at 8" as well. Nobody measured him but I know its really close. It would be pushing it to do 11" and not worth him getting hurt.

8" jump height
I always have him jump 8. No one has ever measured him or questioned me. He is 14 inches at the withers but I've been told bulldogs , like pugs get a height exemption. Other competitors are amazed how excited Bob gets as he comes up to the jumps.

Way to go guys! I am a sucker for an obedience bulldog. Do you mind if I ask what jump height you are at? I prefer 8" but I am afraid we are at 11".
