pregnant with acid reflex?

Trinket was bred 2 weeks ago and my guess is she is having morning sickness. She is burping and spitting up foam like acid reflex. What can I give her that is safe for her and the pups? someone said ginger root but that is so potent. Any ideas? She is the 4th generation of our line and I never had this happen before. I started adding boiled lamb and brown rice to her food this week because she wouldn't eat and it's working. She ate twice yesterday.

Re: pregnant with acid reflex?

Deej, Nala did this usually early in the am, so I always tried to give her a snack as late in the eve as possible. But then she also did this throughout the day, like she would burp & spit up a little. I think tums is OK. Nala did it the whole pregnancy till the end. Nala also does this prior to her going into heat. Must be hormones or something related.

Best of luck, cant wait!

take care,

Thanks everyone

Margie I will call some pharmacies and see if anyone has that. I'm also giving her a little bread every couple hours to see if that helps. Deej

Well you might think I'm a kook with this one but lol . I have Erosive Gerds upper & lower , I was taking Aciphex for awhile at $150 a month.

My Chiropractor suggested I try Aloe Juice , after he suggested it it really made sense. Aloe is used for many things but to sooth burns is probably at the top of the list. So keeping that in mind I gave it a try and it works for heart burn . It's all natural and shouldn't cause any problems for Mom or puppies. You can buy it at GNC but they are more expensive, I found a gallon jug at Wal-greens for a few bucks. You would only need to give her like a table spoon a few times a day.

For people 2-4 ounces does wonders , it heals the lining of your stomach and soothes the esophagus.
