TYLER - Tragedies like the pitbull-related death in Killeen, Texas have
become all too common.
But in spite of their vicious reputation, families with children continue to
have them as pets, for household security, and as a symbol of toughness.
Even though there's a state law, that can mean prison time if your dog
attacks or kills someone...law enforcement continue to find pitbulls
where they shouldn't be.
The state law for dog owners took effect in September. A dog attack is a
3rd-degree felony, and it's a 2nd-degree felony if a dog kills someone.
