Packing for Kansas City ~ question
Submitted by doblackburn on April 21, 2010 - 12:24amSo, I'm gearing up to pack for Nationals week. We aren't too far away (about an 8 hour drive), but I'm sure I'll have the car packed to gills with crates, grooming stuff, food, dog beds, toys, people clothes, etc. Oh, and a few doggies.
In thinking about what to pack, I wondered what are some of the odd items you all might bring to help get you through the week.
Do you have something in your arsenal of travel goods, either for the dogs or for yourselves, that some of us may find "unusal?" Something you recommend to make hotel living easier? Something that we shouldn't forget?
Just curious....

I live here so let me know if I can get anything for you. Target and Walmart are off 1-70 right by my house and I am 20 minutes from show site.

We're bringing EVERYTHING!
4 Bulldogs, Kim, 4 suits(me), 5 dresses/outfits(Kim),kennel clothes, kickin back clothes, extra shoes, winter early morning "dog walkin carharts", gloves, food, coffee, wetbar, grill, water, personal meds, extra contact lenses, extra doggie bedding, doggietoys, crates w/ covers, show leads, grooming case, walk leads, expen, expen cover,potty bags, dogfood, 2 cans of canned pumpkin, canine first aid kit, sting/bite kit, vet records, akc papers, pictures, cameras, laptop, generator, toolkit, extra fuel...
Oh did I mention, we are bringin the fifth wheel? Can't miss us, we will be flying the Stars and Stripes and the British Union Jack.
We havent gotten the final final of where we will be parked, but we will be there Saturday morning figuring it out, and setting up and settling in for an awesome Nationals!

Take your own...
cutlery...good for the canned dog food. I always take my own towels/facecloths for the dogs. Take a nice wine glass if you plan to have a sip or two in the room. This stuff can all go in the small cooler.

Take your own...

A small cooler is great for having ice on hand and for taking to ringside. Take a few metal bowls for the room. Crate covers are good too. there are fridges in all the rooms, apparently.
How will I meet you??? I can't wait to meet some fellow BDW people...how could we arrange a meetup in the lounge or something??? with a bunch of us? can we post something on here?
