Do YOU know ANYONE in these Assembly person's districts?
It will only take you a minute to look through these. If you DO, direct them to the link Laura has provided
We urgently need to get SB 250 opposition letters from CONSTITUENTS of these assemblymembers who are on the Appropriations Committee:
Perez -- district maphttp://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a46/District/default.aspx
Davis -- district maphttp://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a48/district.aspx
Calderon -- districhttp://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a58/district.aspx
de Leon -- district maphttp://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a45/district.aspx
Hall - district maphttp://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a52/District/default.aspx
Note that I am talking about people who live in the district these assemblymembers represent -- the people who elected them into office.
These assemblymembers represent districts in or near Los Angeles that have few of the people we are reaching with our appeals that are going out to breed and training lists. These districts tend to be largely low income and the people we need to reach are the average pet owners.
Please reach out to these constituents, who probably have no idea about MSN or SB 250. They need a concise explanation of how SB 250 will harm THEM (not how it will harm dog breeding, etc.).
I suggest emphasizing that essential services like health care and teachers will need to be cut if SB 250 becomes law because it will divert so much money from those programs. Also, SB 250 targets those who cannot afford the cost of spay/neuter surgery -- these people could have their family pets taken away by animal control, to face an almost certain death.
Please direct them to our Easy Letter form which is here:

This is important.

Jennifer , Thank You for all your hard work
I do not live in Calif. BUT I do appreciate all you are doing to defeat this, because what starts in Calif. usually spreads to all states.
Everyone who owns a dog should be concerned.
thank you
