Last year at the Canadian National show........we dont have nearly as many entries, but what a day!! ....I started showing my first girl (Lou Lou) last June, she got points her first show, and that was it, I was determined to put a CH title on her......soon I brought my daughter out and added another girl and a boy, we hit the road as often as we could, about once a month).... In Nov we went to the specialty with 3 class bulldogs; Lou Lou - 12-18 months, Cheeks - open male, and Matilda - Sr Puppy, Lou Lou and cheeks handled by myself and Matilda by Natasha (our daughter) Lou Lou finished that day, WB and BOW, Cheeks was RWD, and Matilda was BPISS!! That was my most exciting show day, and my first rosettes lol However some of the best times have definitly been hanging out with all the different bulldog'ers after the shows, thanks goes to all who have encouraged me.

A puppy I bred (Merlot's brother) was WD at 7 mo of age and then RWD the next 2 days, and I think Best Pup or Best of Opp. Sex... a pup I showed was RWD on the same night the other 7 mo old took WD and I can't remember if I won anything else...that was with Domino for me...what a fun weekend!!! First time I realized that maybe I COULD become a decent breeder of bulldogs if my luck continued...and everyone was so nice to me and teasing me about it being 'MY Weekend'...first time I felt like I BELONGED in the bulldog show ring and it wasn't just a one time luck thing with Angie or Atlas...I was flabbergasted!!! and walking on air for a while afterwards...so many people were so nice to me ... and have continued to be nice to me...I have been very lucky and blessed! And of course the Nationals are incredible...I think I had the most fun in Dallas without a dog and with Sue Beaupre as a roommate! Yee Haw...rode the bull together too!!

My male puppy was 2nd in class to your boy and I was so surprized when the judge went with the pup I didn't have my boy ready to go in for reserve. He was asleep in his crate and I had to turn it on end and dump him out, then carried him to the ring. He slept thru it all... Then my open bitch went reserve and due to a technicality discovered later, she ended up getting the 4 point major. Even though I never won any money or raffle, it was an enjoyable weekend of shows.

Specifically... the National 2006, last year. It was a dream come true going Winners Bitch under Breeder Judge Nancy Paul with MyToys Mighty Winds of Change and Going Best of Breed under Breeder Judge Jean Hetherington with Ch. MyToys Mighty Colors of the Wind, both breeder-owner-handled. Winning the National was such an emotional experience. I was completely moved to tears and I do not cry at shows. I couldn't help it.
In General... I would have to say Nationals is always my favorite show. Each and every year. I love to see all my friends and new dogs too that I don't get a chance to see week in and week out.

I thought we would never get there....The car we were driving broke down alittle more than half way there..We had to rent a car to get there and I think we arrived something like 12 hours late..We were late enough that people were starting to worry about us..Once we got there and were able to relax all was good....I will always remember that Nationals because all of our human boys came with us..It was a great family adventure!!

The 2005 Kentuckiana Bulldog Club Specialty,I won WD,BOW,BISS with a 10 month old puppy,(Ch.Imperious's Takin' Care of Business).I also won the 50/50 raffle. It is still a nice memory when I reminisce. It is now special because the late Lonny Stooffer was in Louisville that weekend. He was a good friend and mentor, and was very happy for me and Elvis.
