Science Diet AD and Ensure
Kim,
Go to your vet, only place available, and purchase "Science Diet AD". This food has the consistancy of Pate' (sp) and is extremely palletable. I use it to wean my pups, for sick and old Dogs. It is for sick dogs and cats that will not eat. Also I would give her "Ensure" for lack of a better term the Old Folks liquid nutrient supplier. I have had great success with both when dealing with a dog that has no desire or is to sick to eat.
I hope this will help!

Thank you all
Thank you all its a very stressful time. Kim
I've used the food
processor to grind up kibble. Add water and whatever ever else you want. This is what I did for Cleo after her last surgery. Worked great.
Yum!
Well all but the liver. I would love it too
Have you tried Mighty Dog gourmet dinner? that is almost like ba
nm
gerber makes a oatmeal cereal like the rice
you can try, also try soaking kibble and mixing with water or goats milk and make a grewl. You can also do some yogart in the food. If you have a grinder, you can put some chicken or other meat and add goats milk or water and make a pure. Look online for elder care feeding they pure everything in a blender for older people to eat regualr food.
Another food that you might try is mashed sweat potoatoes.
Good luck,

Re: Need help
We have an older Anatolian Shepherd (at least 10 years...she's a rescue) that is losing interest in kibble. We take all of our left over food and mix it up and put it in a chopper/blender. She loves it. It's easier to eat and has a more "human food" flavor. She about begs for it and she gets the nutrition she needs...lots of veggies and meats and breads...eggs, too! At that age, whatever works will be fine.
Have you tried
Using a food processor to grind the kibble? You could also add some beef or chicken stock to the ground up kibble. Also, you can purée meats in the food processor. You can also add cooked oatmeal to the food and boiled eggs.
