bottle feeding

I found the clear silicon nipples do really well. They are numbered according to flow so you can pick a slow one--too slow and hard to suck and the pups get tired and frustrated and fight the feeding. Also the smaller nipples designed for preemies work well.

Re: need advice...

My last 2 litters have been huge, both 8.We have had to supp. each one.We were having alot of problems with milk coming out of their noses.I switched from playtex to Dr. Browns.I would swear by them! When they were ready for rice cereal we went to the level 4 nipples and had no mess they just drank their cereal right from the bottles. No fuss,no muss.Love them. You can find them at Walmart. I do the same...Playtex nursers with the drop in liner...

Worked very well for me with my last litter.

BOTTLES

We try them on playtex nursers first. When feeding
newborns I like the convenience of just dropping in
the bag and trashing it when done. It costs a little
more but when trying to bottle feed every two hours
and especially if you have a large litter who has
time to wash bottles? Also if you remove most of the
air in the bag before feeding them it seems like they
aren't as gasy.
