National Week

Since excitement and anticipation is building for the fast approaching 2009 National in Kansas City, I thought I'd ask people that are going what they are looking forward to? What would those that have been to a National before recommend for anyone that has yet to attend? What would you avoid? happy.gif

Personally, I'm looking forward to the possibility of seeing a really quality animal that I haven't seen before and of course, seeing friends that I don't get to see often. I always enjoy and recommend the breed study seminars as they are well put together. And I look forward to meeting new friends as well.

Duchess says,,,

We're just gonna have to have a girls day out! Lookin forward to seeing you again. Duch loved meeting Julie, and hopes you have room for her to people watch with Julie, for abit, during the show.

Perserverance isn't a long race.
It's a series of short races,
ran one after the other.

The total experience of our firsts.

First Nationals, First Champion, First Litter!! Does it get any better than that? All of the people who we have followed in the 5 years we have been doing this. As was said before, getting up close with some of the currently, best in the country. The socializing, with some of the people who we have met here, as well has reconnecting with those who we have been in the ring with in the past. Kim plans on getting a Turkey Breast and a ham, from The Honeybaked Ham outlet here, and fixing a mini- Thanksgiving dinner. So if ya miss it that much, drop by our 5er, in the RV area. We can give thanks together for a wonderful breed and great friends.

this is long!!

First of all, I get to spend a week with my mom... so that is VERY cool.

The beginning of the week is always a little nuts for me with the seminars, meetings and all the rest.

Seeing old friends and meeting new ones too is so much fun for me.

THE FOOLS BALL!!

Then the dogs..lots and lots of dogs!

I always hope to see something I have been waiting to see. Watching to see what breedings are working and which ones are not. Those of you planning to watch and learn, good for you!

I always hope to see a judge put on a real clinic of their knowledge. Sometimes I am disappointed in this area.

I love to show, so that is always anticipated.

I love the three dogs I am bringing so I will be anxious to hear feedback from some of my favorite Bulldoggers on them. For me, often it is the feedback from expert Bulldoggers ringside more than the win that makes me happy (although don't kid yourself, no one likes to win more than I do. I just have a healthy perspective of the sheer size and prestige of this show).

The banquet and the awards are a highlight always.

I have missed 4 Nationals since 1976 and each year brings the same level of excitement for me.

If you have never been to one, you will have the time of your life!

Jay, im looking forward to see ALOT OF DOGS

and that is the honest truth. I think with the central location it should be a great turn out. This time im w/o dogs so i can spend more time watching and taking pictures.

Im looking forward to seeing some east coast and central dogs. I want to see what is new and coming up. Im looking forward to BOB, we have some very nice dogs who have done some very good winning this year, it will be nice to see them in the ring together and see how the judge places them. I also want to see some nice stud dogs, IMO we have some very nice bitches right now, and i want to see what is out with the dogs.

Of course the after parties

I am looking forward to seeing all the top bullies and also for

more about this wonderful breed. I will have a booth there and I look forward to getting the opportunity to massage some of these awesome dogs and to show you all the art that my husband makes. I will also have Julie with me and I want to show all of you how her hair has grown back in afte 5 years! Many of you have seen her over this past year and will be surprised at how far she has come.

How do I find out about the seminars and where do I register for them? I will be working for sure, but I definitely want to sue this time to learn all I can about these awesome bullies! It will be great to see old friends and make new ones!
