First information regarding the fire at Lynn Smith house last night (12/16/09).
Lynn is the current Division 7 Secretary and the BCA National Secretary elect.
Lynn and Larry were returning home around midnight after attending the Bulldog Club
of Hampton Roads meeting and Christmas Party. They smelled smoke and oil when they
entered the house to see smoke and soot all over. They think that the bulldog may
have knocked over the heat lamp and burnt thru the floor. The fire department said
15 more minutes and the house would have been in flames. Lynn lost 2 female
bulldogs and 6 pups. The dogs that were loose in the house escaped and seem to be
fine now.

The house sustained extensive smoke and soot damage and according to the fire
marshal Lynn will not be able to return living in the house for several months.
Lynn and Larry are currently living in their small motor home on the property in
order to care for the other animals on their small farmette. (chickens, ducks etc).
The members of the Bulldog Club of Hampton will be going to Lynns house this Sunday
to provide any physical labor / assistance required to get things back to some kind
of normal for Lynn.
