Due to Louisville's dog ordinances we boycott this show. Is it fair to the clubs-no, but we don't go because we spend alot of money dog showing and if they don't want us there-then we go elsewhere. Also the mandatory spay/neuter if my show dog got loose. This was a really nice show also. I got to go to it for 2 years before they passed the goofy laws.
You bring up a good point with no laws preventing people from shooting their dogs or neglecting them, but they sell a breeders permit. It always boils down to bottom line-money.

SO SHOW DOGS BEWARE, HANDLERS, IF YOUR CH SHOW DOG GETS LOOSE AND RUNS AWAY, AND IT IS CATCHED BY LOUISVILLE METRO DOG POUND YOUR DOG WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED, THAT IS ANOTHER STUPID MANDITORY LAW THAT IS IN EFFECT.

One of the big arguments being used to sell the LA ordinance today was that ALL breeding must stop until the shelters are empty

We all know that this is the goal, eliminate ALL breeding by any means. No more purebred dogs, cats, rabbits etc...

The puppymills will continue, accidental breeding will continue but WE will be gone.

I have made a donation to fight AB1634 and other bad laws, I will now make another. PETA was there in force today folks, and they want the end of the family pet, not just the show dog, in our lifetimes.

So it's time to build up our own war chests, and damn fast. We all spend thousands to go to shows, advertise wins etc, let's put some money where are mouths are so that we may continue to enjoy these activities.
