This is where the doggies that can't be trusted (i.e. puppies and chewers) hang out when no one is home. I don't leave them out there at night...they're crated in the house until they're old enough to be trusted and then they sleep on the floor of my bedroom. The garage set up is great because they have enough room to walk around a little bit and the floor is sealed so I can mop it with bleach water every day. I also put them out there when I have company coming over so they don't get mobbed by the bulldogs and covered with slobber...not everyone appreciates the bulldog "love" like I do! wink.gif

I don't have a kennel either.

2 of my dogs sleep with me & the other is crated in the living room at night.

My kennel is my house. They come and go as they please. Most all the bulldogs hang out in the rooms where the people are.

I had Costco come out and do the whole floor.

They contract with a company called Custom Garage Floors in my area. I had it done when we moved in to our new house about a year ago and it was $2000 for a 3 car garage. I did my own floor with a product that I bought at Home Depot in my last house, but it wasn't as durable as I would have liked. It was also ALOT of work to get the floor scrubbed and prepped prior to putting the paint down.
I really USE my garage...I park a car and boat in there, the dog pens and our extra fridge/freezer are out there.....so we're in and out numerous times every day. My friend is much nicer to her garage floor and the do-it-yourself stuff has held up just fine for her. This is so much easier to keep clean than bare concrete, and it's been well worth the money that it cost.

Floor seal

Hi Heather,

What product did you use to seal your floor?

Thanks

Jill
