Kim and I, like you, are new to the bulldog world. We became immersed in it abit over a year ago. We currently have a 21 month old male, Winston, a 10 month old female, Dutchess, and a 7 month old male , Storm. While we have not began to actively breed, when we get the right combination, we hope to become reputable breeders. That being said, please accept my humble apologies for the child-like behavior that some of our more experienced members have exibited. Free speech being what it is, I can't fault webbie for allowing it to be aired out in his forum, but it may as well have been scribbled on a bathroom wall. You, I, and others, whom are just beginning our bulldog journeys ARE the future of Bulldogs in America. Thusly the AKC, BCA, OHA, PHA, as well as state breed and all breed clubs. Hopefully, you stick around! Winston, Duchess, Storm, Kim and I will need some competition in the future. Cya in the Ring. (I hope)
Perserverance isn't a long race.
It's a series of short races,
ran one after the other.

My Apologies Also
To whom it may concern,
I also apologize if anything I've written was offensive to you. There ARE still great Bulldoggers out there that define what we all have come to understand as being the definition of that noun. There are Bulldoggers that do love this breed and that care about The Standard and where the BCA goes and they have the experience and knowledge that goes with it. I am a newbie compared to many of these true Bulldoggers and I know my place.
But unfortunately there are those that are exactly like what I described in a post below.
Personally, I'd rather KNOW where people are coming from and where I stand with them. I'd rather people call it like they see it. That's the type of mentor and Bulldogger that I respected and that I respect.
If you're being mentored and helped by someone, be thankful and don't forget what they've done for you. In time, you may not always agree with them but AT THE VERY LEAST remember how good they were to you and keep your mouth shut if nothing good would likely come out. This will keep those with experience and those with knowledge to share willing to continue to help and share with new people.

Reputations
Thank you to those of you who stepped up to the plate. It is encouraging to see that there are some veterans out there willing to act like the responsible bulldoggers I know that you are. I know it's not cool to post "anonymously", but given the ferocity of the comments, who knows who will be trashed next. Like I said, I personally know or have met most of those involved and I am saddened to see how decades of breeding reputations and hard work can go up in smoke in only 24 short hours. There are those of us out there who eagerly look to you to provide guidance and help in building our future reputations in the breed. We do need your help. Full moon or whatever, I just hope that now we can get back to the business of the wonderful (still) world of bulldogs.
Fulll Moon.....
And an Eclipse....so we took a Double whammie.

I guess I need to apologise to this person..
who is nameless (is it the full moon or what??). I assume you were referring to me as well in your rant since I participate actively on these lists. Sorry if I offended you so completely. I too am apalled by the actions of many, but the actions of even more make me realize that all is well in bulldog-land after all.
