Important article, please read and act for the sake of ALL dogs

Please take a moment and read this. Then take a moment to contact Purdue and ask that this man be removed. If Pitbulls are not natural and should be extinct, then how does he feel about our breed!?! Or any other?

Purdue University Vet Alan Beck - Pitbulls Should Be Extinct

Dr. Alan Beck - your breedism is showing.

Dr. Alan Beck is the man who runs Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine Center of the Human-Animal Bond, and - IMHO - it is a post he does not derverve to hold.

In an article that appeared earlier this week in the Indianapolis News and Tribune on pitbulls, Dr. Beck made quite a few comments that fly in the face of science and are a slap in the face to every pitbull owner and rescuer on this planet.

"This breed alone is a risk of serious public health factors," Beck said. "We are keeping them alive

itagainst their own best interests."

Hey -Beck - are you hanging with the Queen Of Death - Ingrid Newkirk - who thinks that all pitbulls that come in the front door should go out the back door in a body bag?

Are you hanging with PETA - which now openly endorses breed bans?

Beck said while he does not advocate taking dogs from current and caring owners (gee - ain't that generous), he does feel that it has become more of a social and political issue for people than a health one.

"If these dogs were carrying an actual disease, people would advocate euthanizing them," Beck said. "This breed itself is not natural."

The article goes on to say, "However, Alan Beck, director of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine Center of the Human-Animal Bond, favors letting the breed go into extinction".

OK - so is Dr. Beck supporting the mandatory sterilzation of of "pitbulls"? That of course is the kinder way to exterminate a breed, isn't it?

And while I'm at it - what breed of dog is natural, Dr. Beck? Are there ANY "natural" breeds? Perhaps you let slip an even deeper agenda - would you like to see the end of breeding?

Then you'd better say so now - so that all those deep-pocketed dog show ladies that donate lots of $dough$ to Purdue University can yank their support from the school and their support for people like you.

BTW - you did know that Dr. Alan Beck is a paid shill for those legislators who want breed bans.

Perhaps you'll recall that earlier this year , Dr. Beck was brought in to provide "expert testimony" in before the Massachussets State Legislature in hearings about breed-specific legislation - invited by the very people who want to BAN putbulls.

In otherwords, Beck is a ringer.

Alan Beck is a red herring - legislators bring him in to make the public THINK someone is on your side - but you would be wrong.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.

Dr. Alan Beck is a man with an agenda. He is nothing but a bull**** artist in a white coat that goes around as a hired gun, supporting breed bans, mandatory sterilzation for pitbulls, mandatory muzzling in public and other anti-dog laws.

Like most people, I assumed that Dr. Beck holds a VetMed degree. He does not. DP reader Jeanne R. points out that Alan Beck holds a degree in public health. Dr. Beck is not even a vet.

Purdue University needs to re-evaluate this man as the director of a leading animal behavoir clinic - and the public needs to reevaluate their support for Purdue University for putting a man like this in such a prominent role.

Dr. Beck needs to be booed loudly in public. Beck needs to (you'll forgive me) be hounded from office. Dog lovers need to call Purdue and demand Breed-Hater Beck's resignation.

Contact the President of Purdue University, Dr. France. A. Cordova, and give her the message that Alan Beck needs to resign.

Or send her some snail mail: Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN 47907 USA

Or give Dr. Cordova a ring: (765) 494-4600

Quid pro quo, Dr. Beck. I too, favor letting a breed such as yours go extinct.

Alan - why don't you ask PETA for a job? Or maybe you're already on their payroll.
