I checked the ofa lists for dogs that have been cleared on heart, thyroid, patella and frankly there are very few listed. I am sure that more breeders than this have tested their dogs. I was very interested in the thread below about guarentees and wondered if the breeders here give the test results for the parents of the puppies they sell. I'm very much a novice at this but I would and do feel a lot better about limited guarentees if I know the parents and grandparents were tested clear.

This is only out of curiosity, Why wouldn't the breeders who have tested have the results shown on the registry? I am sure there is a lot of this I don't understand but I am trying to.
Re: Health registries
I am reasonably sure that any breeder who was doing the testing would have no problems issuing the test results to the puppy buyers.
That being said, just because one or both parents pass all clearances, does not guarantee that 100% of the puppies will be fine too. It just helps the chances, and the more breeders test and dogs pass and those dogs are utulized in breeding programs vs dogs that fail, the breed will be better off..

Thanks for the links
Well there are more on the list than I first thought. When I first did a search I only saw 69 bulldogs on the lists. This does show that some breeders are doing the tests and getting the results up where newbies like me can see them.
