Ha!Ha!...did we have you worried?

I decided about a month ago, that I would make a big exception (about 63# of big!) to my rule of only keeping girls...that this boy was such an exceptional worker and beautiful boy...that his many, MANY "near misses" on homes were not just a coincidence (and folks I had some INCREDIBLE performance homes that he came VERY close to joining)...and that he would be STAYING WITH ME to pursue his career in performance and breed showing.




This pic was taken when Gabe had his debut showing in Rally Novice (in the very competitive B class!) at barely SIX MONTHS and came away not only with a leg, but a 2nd place! This boy in an incredible worker, loves to learn and I could see him becoming the first OTCH for the breed...and I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up a perfect 200 along the way. At one year old (TODAY is his big 1st BDAY!) he already has his Rally Novice and Companion Dog titles and is already doing a wonderful retrieve and down-on-recall, utility signals with pazzaz, etc...BUT, my plan is to show him for national ranking at the Novice level this coming year, then 2009 will be his Open debut...and 2010 utility.





The boy has been a slow bloomer, but has always been very balanced and I hope he will also become my first champion (and a bred-by, to boot!) The above pic was taken at 10 mos and he has really matured a lot since then...I hope to get him out into the breed ring in the next few months


This guy is also an INCREDIBLE athlete, so I've GOT to get him in the agility ring, too...and carting, sheepherding, tracking...and, wait till you see the TRICKS he has up his sleeve already It'll be my first time to compete without having to deal with heat cycles and breeding schedules and I look forward to making some special bulldog history with this talented boy!
