Florence Savage

Florence Savage was born in 1907 she bought her first bulldog in 1928
Her Bulldog CH Cockneys Gorblimey was named outstanding Bulldog in America in 1945 by gaines research. This dog was homebred owner handled. He was undefeated in breed competition.
Flo was editor of PCBC Bullpup in 1948 she wrote for the bulldog magazine in England for 6 years she also wrote the early history of the bulldog in 1945 for dog news which was republished in 1975 in Kennel Review.
She was AKC licensed judge she was licensed to judge 44 different breeds. Flo & her husband Boge started the national Gallery exhibit that is presented by the bulldog nationals every year.
Flo passed away on October 12, 2001.Florence would always say that you must breed for type and always remember the purpose for which the bulldog was bred.

I agree with her last sentence

without remembering what the Bulldog was bred for you cannot breed to the standard
