Crosspost: STOLEN BULLDOG

Stolen Bulldog - Santa Ana, Ca

Help this bulldog get home! Please keep an eye open for this bulldog and listen for anyone that may mention having a bulldog for sale, got a 'cheap deal on' or got a as a young adult in a questionable transaction.

You might see this bulldog at your vet offices, at a Meet Up group, the Bulldog Beauty Contest, dog park, the dog beach, on Craigslist or someone offering him for sale in front of a pet store from the back of a car.

Our bulldogs will not be safe if things like this happen so easy and if we do not react as soon as possible to get the bulldog home.

This bulldog can already be several hundred miles away from where he was last seen, if the thieves think taking him out the area will make it easier to sell him.

This is a very nice looking bulldog and someone will be showing him off or trying to sell him fast or use to breed with a female bulldog.

$2,000 REWARD

The owners of an award-winning bulldog named Bubba are offering a $2,000 reward to get their white-and-red dog returned after he was stolen last week.
Bubba was last seen about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at MK Printing at North Sullivan Street and West 1st Street in Santa Ana, where the dog's owner, Richard Truong, works.

Bubba is 18 months old and was stolen Dec. 15 in Santa Ana.

"I bring him out every day to work because he is kind of like my little kid," Truong said. "He's not only a show dog, but he's like my little baby."
An employee accidentally left a door open and the bulldog wandered out of the building, Truong said.

Witnesses told Truong that two men about 20 years old cut across three lanes of traffic in their car to lure the dog inside.

Bubba, an 18-month-old dog, recently won second place in the Eukanuba dog show in Long Beach. Bubba has been microchipped and is worth more than $10,000, Truong said.

Truong and his girlfriend, Suzanne Stephens, both of Huntington Beach, have canvassed the neighborhood around the printing company, leaving 2,000 flyers and 3,000 cards, but have not found Bubba. The couple has also hired people to look for the dog and hand out flyers.

"The first minute he was born I had him in my hand reviving him and getting him to breathe," Truong said. "I'm still kind of in shock."

Information: Truong at 714-390-4350.

Any news?

Is the news (media) keeping the story alive?

This makes my heart break.

Prayers for Bubba.

You are insensitive.

You are not helping anything or anybody with your criticisms. Hindsight is 20/20. You don't think the owners feel awful enough? We are all just trying to be supportive and praying for Bubba's safe return. Your last sentence would have been sufficient. Get off your high horse. Sometimes bad things happen.

I know this is insensative

And that accidents happen, but that dog should've been watched a little better. He was missing for too long, and if you're going to take a dog like that to work have a crate near by so you can keep an eye on it. That's just ridiculous to me how they didn't realize the dog was around outside for 15-20 minutes before it was taken. It's not acceptable. Even more so, there should've been rules in that building if they had the dog on the loose and everyone should've known to make sure to keep an eye out for him. I hope he gets a safe return home though.

Re: Have they tried...

They wouldn't be able to show it without a registration number....any reputable breeder wouldn't use him a stud without seeing a pedigree....hope he is found sad.gif

Have they tried...

that service where they call all the neighbors within a certain range? I can't remember what it's called but I'm sure someone here will.

This is very disturbing for me as the owners are friends and clients of mine. I showed and had this dog with me for the better part of the last 2 months and we are extremely concerned about his welfare. He has the best personality and was just a good dog to be around.
