As the calendar gets ready to change to the month of November, it tells us that the 2009 BCA National Show is less than a month away. As of today there are only 26 days until "We're Goin' To Kansas City, Bully City Here We Come!"
Basket Contest,There will be five groups with a prize awarded to the winner of each:
GROUP I - Individual: Representing your home state.
GROUP II - Individual I: A theme of your choice.
GROUP III - Club: Promote your club along with your state.
GROUP IV - Division: A regional basket representing your division.
GROUP V - Peoples Choice: Winner overall from all baskets.
RULES
Entries are to be brought with you to the show. Include a written description of the contents and an
overall value. The baskets will be raffled off and the basket in each category receiving the most tickets
will win that prize. For any additional information contact Eva Dickey.
Merchandise is going fast as we continue to fill orders. We have run out of some sizes, color and styles. If there is a favorite item you have been looking for, don't wait to purchase at the show, buy now. When the current inventory is gone, there will be no additional orders.
LIVE WEBCAST:
The 2009 BCA National Show will have live webcast available on a per day or by-the-week rate. There will be two cameras covering two rings with two simultaneous webcasts. You will only be able to view one ring at a time. After you have purchased your day or week option, you will be given a username and password for each day you have purchased. After you have completed your login, you will be given a choice of which ring you would like to view. You will have the ability to change rings at any time during the webcast. The pre-sale cost until November 16th is $25.00 for the 6 day week , $35.00 weekly rate after November 16th, and $10.00 daily rate.

TROPHY DONATIONS- We can still accept trophy donations [with the donor being listed in the catalog] until October 31, 2009. There are still a few trophy pledges left to be had. If you, your club or Division have not made a pledge to the trophy fund any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKSGIVING BRUNCHES/DINNERS--Please check the website for updated information on the different buffets and time of availablity.
ENTERTAINMENT--We have some great entertainment planned for the week. All of the weeks entertainment will be in the Washington Room situated on the Lobby level of the hotel.
Monday November 23rd--Connie and the Choirboys will kick off the weeks entertainment. This local group plays a mix of both Blues and Classic rock.
Tuesday November 24th--The first "FOOL'S BALL" will be a party hosted by "The Benevolent Order of the Fool", a group of Bulldoggers that have generously donated money so that this nights festivities can be enjoyed by all. The nights musical entertainment will be Disco Dick and the Mirror Balls, a long time Kansas City favorite. You can find out more about the band at www.discodick.com. The theme for the night will be reliving the 70's Disco era. Everyone is encouraged to dress in their best 70's disco clothes. The sponsors will be providing a limited number of special edition T-shirts, party hats, party favors and refreshments. This will truly be one that will be talked about for years to come and best of all, everything has been donated at no cost to the show or BCA.
Wednesday November 25th --The annual Purina Costume contest with cash prizes and a DJ hosted party afterwords. Look for more information on the website and at the show for specific times.
BULLDOGS ON PARADE CONTEST--We are also sponsoring the FIRST "Bulldogs on Parade Contest". What a great way to win some extra spending money for your week in Kansas City . You can find details for both of these contests on the website at www.2009bcanationalshow.com.
PLEASE NOTE: On Friday November 27, 2009 we will be having a health clinic/checks for Patellar Luxarion and Congential Cardiac. Forms must be filled out ahead of time and $20.00 payment for each procedure will be taken at the health clinic.

HANDLING SEMINAR---Doris Boyd will host a handling seminar on Monday morning before sweeps. The seminar will be in the ballroom with both verbal and hands-on instruction. Our Instructor Doris Boyd, is renown for her ability to help both beginners and the experienced handler in reaching higher levels of proficiency. We are very lucky that she has agreed to come to Kansas City and give of her time to us.

We also would like to remind everyone bringing dogs to the show that the following rules will be strictly enforced. There are to be no more than FOUR DOGS PER ROOM. There are to be NO DOGS UNDER SIX MONTHS OF AGE AT THE WESTIN HOTEL.
