This is a link to an article about some of the difficulties involved with reducing euthanasia in some shelters. PETA and HSUS are sounding off in it. As many may know, San Antonio is considering a mandatory sterilization ordinance modeled on AB 1634, trying to undermine the very reasonable no-kill commitment that the city has embarked on with the goal of achievment by 2012, just 4 years away. The Animal Rights folks are turning the comments section here into a push for the elimination of breeding rights and spay and neuter laws.
