Hello.
charlie went into his second show..he is junior puppy..
some really nice bullies there..
He done well.. a little crazy when he saw me..(friend showed him)
He beat the other junoir pups.. was against 2 senior pupss , beat the one.. but the other pup was already a champion..he was specialing at 11 mnths.
Charlie didn't have a chance!
The judge did look over charlie good and long..he compared the two..but the special was so much bigger and more mature than charlie.. I do think the judge was thinking though.. his handler thought so too!
So on to day 2 tommorrow.
same special is going to be there..*sigh*
here are some pics.. they are horrible..my camera does not take pics well with the lightening they had.
and his eyes don't really glow like that!..lol
charlie on the way home

Re: Rears
I would love to teach him this.. where would I get it?
Rears
Its hard to get the rear stack right when everyone keeps wanting them extended. I have had judges pull them back and flatten out a nice topline because they thought it was correct
Same with ears....they are supposed to be pinned back...everyone 'pops' the ears (especially photographers *sigh*) Get used to what your dogs natural stance is when they come to a halt from walking...you should only have to minorly adjust them to get them straight...no extreme stretching etc
I like doing this with my boys because I just find it more flashy in the ring with my specials
You could teach him to free stack using stackers to keep you from having to go down to the floor
Cant wait to meet you on the circuit
Take care
Trish
Table
I would love it if they would allow a judging table....hell I would lend them mine at every show I was entered in.....So much easier than on the floor. They could use it for all mid sized like whippets, cockers etc....easier than lifting :P
Nice dog...
Congratulations!

tables would be nice!
would be nice to show on tables in Canada as well, they're a low breed hard to go over on the floor!!! I just showed in a dirt floor arena watching the video back I almost died when i saw what I did the first day....

Re: Way to go!!
we were at tillsonburg today and tommorrow..
I am going to take him to group classes starting monday just to see if I can do it.
I am obese and the getting down on the knees for stacking is near immposible ..I was just informed that some don't stack on their knees..so maybe ,while I battle the bulge, I can show the boy ..

Re: charlies show
I noticed she had him stacked with his legs far back in his last win picture from his first show that you had posted as well, that's why I mentioned it.
Tammy
Way to go!!
He is looking good Sue. Are you in Tillsonburg this weekend? I probably asked you this already but are you going to the booster?
Pretty soon he will be the 11 month old in the ring the other pups have to beat. He will grow up right before your eyes.

Sue
Tammy is right...I emailed you the same thing a while ago. Charlie looks very nice, congrats!
Re: charlies show
I don't know.. he was a bit of a wiggle worm today
Re: charlies show
Hello, I think Charlie looks great...I know how you feel, my first show and the only other bully was #3 in Canada! Just a question though...I'm also very new to showing and noticed that your handler stacks charlie with his back legs pointing pretty far back. Is this correct for bulldogs? I've seen other breeds of dogs stacked that way but I always thought bulldogs were supposed to stand "square", back legs not extended behind them in that way? Perhaps I'm wrong? Hope that makes sense.
Tammy
Nice dog, thanks for sharing your pics
