Care of Pregnant Bitch

I have a friend of a friend whose bulldog is pregnant . This is a girl I would consider a BYB and unfortunately doesnt have a clue sad.gif What sort of things should she know when caring for a pregnant bitch ?

If their calculations are correct she would be due in 2 weeks . She JUST took her to the vet today to confirm pregancy and the vet said he will check how many pups are there in 2 weeks ..... uhhhh , she is due in 2 weeks big groan So she got no pre-nantal care . I am not sure what should have been done over the last few weeks ? and what should be done for the next 2 weeks ?

I am so scared for the bitch and the pups , as obviously they dont have a clue sad.gif

any advice ?

Thanks

she is planning a c section . I dont like the vet she uses . He is known here as being a "quack". My vet is just down the street from him. I dont really know this girl, I know her friend . Yes, she was bred to a bulldog . I will do what I can to help ! At this point ,Should she be giving any supplements ? additions to her food ? I think I read that should be eating about 1.5 times her normal food right ?

Sorry, wrong post..

She must be in the Houston TX area.. That is where the

ad was posted.

Well, she needs to plan

Now. She needs to have a c-section planned first off, ASAP. It really is the best option, especially when not experienced in breeding and bulldogs etc. Was she bred to another bulldog? I mean, at this point it really doesn't matter if she wants the best outcome. The female could die if she tries natural whelping. Yes, be a good friend and help this person out by being the better person. It could be a disaster, but within a weeks time you can find out a lot of information online and in the forums..
