and here in Canada...
I went all the way to Woodstock....just for my boy to get the poops, he got BOS fri, but only because he was the only male that showed up....we had a bad storm. Then to top if off, he tried to wipe his bum on the motel floor and got carpet burn on a very noticeble spot LMAO....some pumpkin and diaper rash cream was an easy fix, but I pulled him Sat as I thought he may just need to relax. I have never had a dog who didnt travel well before, this boy is a reck everytime I take him anywhere, he gets really nervous and all worked up. I take him to classes 2x a week and treat him all the way there, plus occasional rides to the pet store...thought he was getting used to it but i guess not. Any suggestions would be great. Sun was better he (MaximusBulls Sid The Kid) got BPIB, there were 4 pups total, and my bitch CH Marah's Fo'Farrah Sarah was BOS - Judge Mr L Kereluke.
ALSO...Congrats to everyone who had wins this weekend!! I didnt have internet in my motel, so I missed alot of posts.

our newf
We have a show prospect newf that is like this. She is absolutely fine at the house, going to petsmart etc. But when we get to a show she gets screaming diarrhea. I don't know if it's the other dogs or what. We put her up because she was so stressed at the shows I just didn't think it was worth it. She's a beautiful girl and just apparently not meant to be a show dog. She is an awesome pet tho-disposition to die for!!

Congrats!!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.
Congratulations, Ivy!
Clyde/Maximus Bam Bam....Sid and Broccan's brother loves to ride in the car. In fact, he sits in the passenger seat looking out the window. He's a great co-pilot!

Congrats!
That's great!
Sorry about your boy, I had a boxer like that too. Nothing I did ever changed that and because of that it effected the way he showed, so we pulled him from showing since absolutely nothing was working, tried training, lots of socializing, supplements, smaller crate, special beds, changed diet, you name it I did it. He was happiest just staying home being spoiled and running around or walking through the neighborhood. He was like two different dogs.
Hope your boy though grows out of it. Keep working on him.

Way to go!
She'll be finished here in no time, she's a lovely girl.

I have a girl that...
loves the car and hates to show....now I have a boy who hates the car but is good at the show, mind you we do need to work on stacking a little LOL as soon as he gets out of the car he is well behaved and REALLY happy! Maybe next time I travel with him I will bring her, and a crate big enough for both of them...maybe she will convince him that car rides are fun haha

Thanks!
I have always found dogs are more content in a kennel that just fits them right, they feel more secure then in a huge one. Sid is also worse in a vehicle, when not in a crate, I let him sit on the passenger seat or floor when we are just going out around town, he gets so nervous he shivers, he prefers the crate for sure.

Congrats, Ivy
That's awesome!

Ivy
We have a beautiful male that is that way..His name is Cartman..LOTS of people can tell you stories about his ring behaviour..Nothing we tried worked....He would have a meltdown in the ring almost everytime we showed him..He was socailized well as a puppy , exercised reguarly and let run loose in the house...Cartman is well adjusted in every aspect of his life but traveling and showing..Showing just wasnt his thing and I consider ourselves very lucky he was good a few times so we could finish him...

Congrats Ivy!!
What a great weekend. Broccan doest like to travel, he stands in his kennel leaning against the side as he trys to balance, if he would just relax & lay down things would be better. He does worse out of the kennel, & I just resently (this weekend) bought him a bigger kennel thought he would like more room, wrong, He actually prefers the smaller one were he has only enough room to stand, turn & lay down. Hopefully he will get used to it!
