I had my tragedy(s) early on in bullies, and I am hoping to have passed my 'trial by fire' early on in this breed...I had bred other breeds in past...she looks bright eyed, healthy etc so my fingers and toes are crossed for you...it makes it hard to walk that way, but you're worth it Rod! LOL OH...my guesstimate is 5 to 6 ... she doesn't look like a tiny bitch so she could carry more and not show as much. Good luck Buddy!

I read Jims post and cried and cried, just holding Mia and thinking to myself OMG what have I done. We bred her Fathers day week and when i read that post I wanted to take it all back & at this point am feeling if she doesnt take then I am ok with that. A friend of mine says that the day before a cection she tells the family to say goodbyes becaseu it could be the last time they see her ever again. I just can not imagine going through that and wanting to keep moving forward. For Jims sake I hope the puppies are doing well and continue to thrive so that he has a small piece of his Reece. Keeping Belle in my thoughts Rod..

I know what you mean, I was really effected by that last post with Reece, I just cannot stop thinking about it and it amazed me how many people could support that family with similar situtations they went through.
I will never breed - just not my thing, but I cannot imagine how breeders go on from there. I did not even know this dog or family and I was totally upset about the whole situation. I will definately be keeping all breeders in my prayers for safe delivery for both mom & pups and their families. You guys are my heros!!
and Rod, feel free to send a female pup my way to Florida!! LOL Belle looks beautiful to me - cannot wait to see the babies!

Really, really hoping everything goes okay! I keep thinking it's just a matter of time before we have our own tragedy.. Everyone who has been doing this any length of time will tell you that eventually something will go wrong.. We have been so lucky for so many years.. Each time we do this we wonder will it end this time? So scary... I can't stop thinking about are good friends Jim & Lisa and what they are feeling.. God, in the last three are four years, several of our friends have had something go wrong.. Not because of something they have done wrong just dumb luck.. I think if you can move on from a tragedy you are a real bulldogger..

She looks great! Nice & fit. My Nala had 8 & I we were all surprised, because she didn't appear that big to usk, I think she carried higher up, when we did ultrasound/& x-ray we only saw 3, vet said maybe 4. So when they said all 8! I said WHAT!!!!
Anyway, Belle looks beautiful, what pretty girl she is.
Best of luck to you, & will be keeping you all in my prayers, for a nice safe delivery.

You know, Kim said this afternoon that what happened to you guys felt like it happened to her.. I know what she meant by that.. Because we are good friends, not only do we get a thrill when you guys do so well in the ring but we also feel your pain when something goes wrong.. Your faith is inspiring and I know you guys will be okay. You are heavy on are minds and are praying that the remaining pups continue to do well..

Hey Rod!! Please do not worry about anything happening. We are send lots of prayers and good thoughts your way. Belle looks AWESOME and comfortable. God brings you to it and HE will bring you through it.
Just remember, if you feel something is wrong, take her to the vet. Let them see first hand. No matter how well you describe what is going on, let the vet make the final call. Totally worth every cent. Instincts make the BEST call.
she looks great!!
GOOD LUCK with her!
