Back From The Garden
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 10:23pmAlthough it sure was a fun trip out to NYC for the Westminster Kennel Club show this year, I am very happy to be home. Going out to the Garden specialty (Bulldog) on the Saturday was priceless as it always is to be able to see the dogs in a particular area in person. There were some very nice dogs and bitches and it was a pleasure to see many friends that I don't see often.
We were VERY pleased at how my Frenchie special (Ch. Honeybuls St. Elmo's Fire) showed and how he took home one of the coveted Awards of Merit out of 35 top-ranked Frenchies with top-tier handlers. The food and the shopping were fabulous and we are hopefully looking forward to doing it again next year. I have to say that the wind chill a couple of the days was killer!

my friend, Bev Anderson was there showing "CH BELLA RIDGE'S KISS ME KATE" for her friend Jill Neidig.
One of Jill's other entries did get an Award of Merit, CH BELLA RIDGE LEBULL'S LET'S BE FRANK.
You guys all know each other, I'm sure.
You have done us all proud out here in the West! Pretty much the thrill of a lifetime to get to show at WESTMINSTER, never mind getting an Award of Merit, as you did.
See you sometime soon, I hope.

Thanks Deirdre; it was good to see you too. Thanks for letting me go over your lovely boy, Munch. He was one of the dogs I've been wanting to see in person and he didn't disappoint me. Best wishes for him and for upcoming shows!

Great showing, watched you on video and a friend has pictures but can only see your back (but I knew who it was, LOL) and part of the frenchie. Glad you made it back safely and yes, those wind chills were a killer, hated them.
