Congrats. Good job Dennis and Baxter!

Perserverance isn't a long race. It's a series of short races, ran one after the other.

Congrats guys,

Soon to be another new Ch.

Points question??

Is it automatically a 5pt major for a group 1?

My understanding of the AKC point quidelines leads me to believe that a group winner out of the classes is only worth the maximum points earned by any give breed within the group....

If this is correct, a group 1 in this instance would be worth 2pts.

Betsy

Congrats!

Congrats, Good luck getting that last single. Lottie

Hey...

Just to let everyone know.. Baxter finished his championship on Sat with his group 1 win... He needed 4 singles and finished by getting a 4 point major for winning the Group.

Betsy, for your records...

No, A group 1 is not an automatic 5 point major. The point scale is relative to the breeds beaten in competition in group. Only the Group 1 winner is eligible for aquiring the greatest number of points from any breed in the group.

Betsy, it was a 4 point major in this instance, for your records!

count dogs defeated

championship points equal to the largest number of points earned in any other group breed at that show. So, for example, if the Frenchie had a five-point major, then the Bulldog who just took Group One will also earn a five-point major.
